Shiplake is a small but very well known school in Henley-on-Thames. Is is an independent boarding and day school for boys aged 11 to 18 and girls aged 16 to 18. Due to the schools location on the river, and the influence of the Henley Royal Regatta, it has a strong tradition in rowing and competes with the top schools in the country. Its ethos is to encourage students to pursue a broad education.
