Hockey Success
A school becomes so successful in sport primarily through a top sports department, top sports facilities and top coaches, especially in hockey: the hockey head coach, for example, played professionally and captained for England and Great Britain. The newly built, modern hockey hall normally host the Girls Indoor School Championships. Separate rooms are available for video analyses. Last but not least, the hockey club on campus rounds off Repton's already great hockey programme making it a top address for hockey.
The best facilities for the best results
The boarding school's facilities and buildings are in a class of their own. Repton School's new science building is particularly impressive; thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment, science subjects in particular are taught here in a truly inspiring way. Repton School's theatre, called "The 400 Hall", was completely redesigned at a cost of several million pounds and has won architectural awards. Repton School also has a lot to offer its pupils in the area of art and creativity: Artists are hired as temporary teachers, music events with professional musicians push standards and there is a regular fashion show in which the whole school collaborates.
Football and tennis
Repton School's football department has enjoyed similar success to the hockey teams. The boys' teams are among the top five in England in football. Here, too, the school boasts excellent facilities - and the professionals also take advantage of this: Liverpool FC holds its football camps here. The school's tennis programme, led by former world-ranked player James Rushby, is not lagging behind. Repton School is one of the six best schools in England for tennis. Players in the elite squad train daily and compete in the ITF and TE leagues. Superb training is also organised throughout the year for all other ability levels. And if you want, you can get involved in the newly founded Repton Rackets Club and take part in competitions.
Traditional full boarding school
Repton is a truly classic English boarding school in the best sense of the word, modern and at the same time with a long history that is consciously lived. The majority of all Repton pupils, around 70 per cent, live at the boarding school. The pupils live there in singles, pairs, threes or fours in their rooms, divided into ten boarding houses. Each of the houses has its own charm - and its own motto. Here, all meals are eaten together in the House with, house parents, house tutors and housekeepers lovingly look after their charges and whilst instilling values and cohesion.
