What exactly is a Summer School?

A Summer School is an academic and activity-based holiday programme, held on the campuses of leading UK boarding schools during the summer break. Students aged 9 to 17 take part in interactive English lessons in the morning and enjoy a full programme of afternoon and evening activities. Whether it’s football, painting, debating or adventure days out – learning extends far beyond the classroom. Students are fully supervised and supported throughout their stay, making the experience both enjoyable and safe.

Who can attend an international summer school?

• What’s the age range?
  Our Summer Schools are designed for children and teenagers aged 9 to 17. We recommend at least one year of English tuition at school as a foundation.
• How long should my child stay?
  We suggest a stay of two to four weeks to allow time for learning, settling in, and getting the full experience. One- to six-week options are also available.
• Do students need to speak English already?
  The programmes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. We recommend at least one year of English tuition at school as a foundation.
• How does my child get the most out of the experience?
  A sense of adventure, openness to new experiences, and a curiosity about the world are the perfect starting points. And thanks to our personalised advice, your child will be well prepared for the journey ahead.
