Haileybury International Summer School offers students aged 11–17 a stimulating English programme that develops language skills through engaging themes, interactive workshops and academic study trips to Oxford, Cambridge and London. Students tailor their experience by choosing individual academic pathways such as STEM or Arts, alongside a broad range of sporting and creative activities. Lessons are delivered by experienced Haileybury teachers who place a strong emphasis on communication, confidence and intellectual curiosity. Participants strengthen key academic and social skills, build international friendships and may work towards an internationally recognised Trinity GESE qualification. Junior Courses

English + (Ages 11–13)

Project- and theme-based English lessons explore contemporary topics and actively encourage practical language use. Around one third of classroom time is dedicated to collaborative group work, where students solve creative and engaging tasks together.

Each week, students also choose one Focus Activity, such as:
Krav Maga, Football, Tennis, Basketball, Hockey, Great Haileybury Bake off, Singing and Dancing, Stage and Screen Acting.

Senior Courses

Academic English + (Ages 13–16)

During morning sessions, students select one of two CLIL pathways (Content and Language Integrated Learning):

  • STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
  • ABH – Arts, Business and Humanities

For their two-week course, students also choose one Expert Project Class, including:

  • Global Entrepreneurs
  • Filmmaking
  • Design & Manufacturing
  • International Relations, Debating & Mini MUN
  • Lead with Language – English Skills for Leadership
  • Science Unlocked
  • Future Web Creators

In addition, students select a weekly Focus Activity for the afternoons, choosing from:
Krav Maga, Football, Tennis, Basketball, Hockey, The Great Haileybury Bake Off, Singing & Dancing, or Stage and Screen Acting.

International Study Preparation (15–17 Jahre)

This academically focused English and study skills course prepares students specifically for entry into an English-speaking school, college or university. The two-week programme includes a total of 41 lessons, alongside supervised self-study, small-group tutorials and guided study tours.

Course content:

  • Academic reading, writing, listening comprehension and research skills
  • Academic writing, referencing and the development of subject-specific vocabulary
  • Discussions, debates and presentations at an academic level

Additional programme:

  • Focus Activity: 8 hours per week (freely chosen)
  • Evening programme: whole-school events or optional activities from sports and creative fields
