Oakham School was founded in 1584 and is renowned for being innovative. It was the first independent all boys school to accept girls and introduced the IB qualification over 10 years ago. The results have been impressive (2012 IB Points average = 37.8). It is particularly successful at rugby, hockey and cricket.
