The Royal Hospital School was founded in 1712 preparing boys for the Royal Navy. As a consequence the school offers an exceptional provision for sailing and commemorates key naval events in British history such as the Battle of Trafalgar. It enjoys a stunning campus location in rural Suffolk and offers outstanding teaching, sports, and boarding facilities for its 700 boys and girls aged 11-18. Because of its rich seafaring history this maritime heritage lives on in the daily life of the school.
