Heathfield Summer School is a long-established, British Council-accredited all-girls summer school in England. The programme combines high-quality English tuition with a wide-ranging selection of sports, creative activities, cultural experiences and excursions.

In a supportive, international environment, students develop their language skills, confidence, social awareness and academic curiosity. Lessons are communicative, practical and age-appropriate. Many activities take place alongside British students – ideal for authentic language practice and meaningful cultural exchange.

Junior Courses (Ages 8–12)

English Language and Learning

Communicative English lessons with a thematic, project-based approach.

Senior Courses

English plus Language and Learning (Ages 13–17)

This course combines intensive English tuition with academic and creative enrichment.
Course content includes:

  • Discussions, presentations and debates
  • Creative writing and project work
  • Expanding vocabulary and grammar for school and everyday use
  • Encouraging independence and teamwork
Afternoon programme:
  • Sports, fitness and outdoor activities
  • Baking and cooking
  • Creative workshops
  • Social and cultural events

English Enrichment (Ages 14–17)

The English Enrichment course combines advanced language training with an exploration of British culture, identity and global issues. Through practical, real-life contexts, students develop fluency while strengthening critical thinking, communication and teamwork. The programme supports personal development, intercultural understanding and prepares students for an increasingly interconnected international future.
